Mercedes’ big two-seat retractable-hardtop roadster gets updated styling, glass roof, parking assist system, and Airscarf, which blows warm air on the back of the passenger’s neck. The V12-powered SL65 AMG is joined by the SL63 AMG, shown here, which is powered by a 518 hp version of AMG’s 6.2 liter V8 backed by the new Multi Clutch Transmission (Mercedes’ usual 7-speed automatic with an electronically-controlled clutch in place of the usual torque converter).

For 2010, the Kingpin adds a blacked out gas cap, wheels, rotors, and brake components. Badging is also revised, and power comes from an 85 horsepower, 106 lb-ft 100 cubic inch V-twin engine mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The Victory Vision now comes with an available anti-lock brake system (on the Tour version.) Auxiliary power outlets are now the more universal cigarette lighter-style, and a silencer dramatically reduces airbox intake sound.

The all-new ZDX is Acura’s answer to the BMW X6. About the same size as the MDX, the ZDX features a swoopy coupe-like roofline rear door handles concealed in the window pillar, similar to the European-market Honda Civic (Acura is a division of Honda). Acura hasn’t announced engine specs, but it will most likely be Acura’s 3.7 liter V6. We do know the engine will drive all four wheels via a Acura’s first six-speed automatic transmission.

The RDX is now available in a front-wheel-drive model, which costs less and gets better fuel economy — 19 MPG city and 22 MPG highway, 2 MPG better than the all-wheel-drive model. The styling has been updated, including a TL-like grille. New standard equipment includes a rear-view camera, compass, automatic headlights, ambient footwell lighting, and a USB audio input jack.

Acura’s big SUV gets freshened styling, including a version of the chrome cheese-slicer grille found on other Acura models. A six-speed automatic transmission replaces last year’s five-speed, and the 3.7 liter engine has been refined for better power deliver and a slightly higher torque output. The engine and transmission changes yield a 1 MPG improvement in EPA city and highway figures, which are now up to 16 MPG and 21 MPG respectively. The steering and suspension systems have been refined for sharper handling and a quiet ride, and a new Advance package bundles adaptive shock absorbers and 19″ wheels and tires. Inside, the MDX gets new gauges, a modified control layout, upgraded trim, optional ventilated seats, and an improved stereo and navigation system

Mercedes’ retractable-hardtop roadster gets a mid-cycle refresh with updated exterior and interior styling. But the biggest news is the mid-line SLK350, which gets bumped up to an even 300 horsepower; it’s bookended by the SLK300 and the SLK55 AMG.
